29th August Bank holiday 2021, the place to be is Lt Gransden Air & car Show

We plan on making this a great family day out, something for everyone set in the green and clean countryside here at Little Gransden Airfield.

2019 info  In the air, All being well the show will be opened with a 700 kph flypast with Mark Jefferies at the controls of a former Soviet jet trainer, this leads to over 3 1/2 hours of flying action, from WW1 biplanes though WW2 warbirds, Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane all booked. To modern extreme aerobatics in the Extra 330SC – something for every taste, from the cream of the UK’s aviators – including world champion aerobatic pilots (Mark Jefferies and Tom Cassells) The Global Stars team and many more aircraft.  We’ll also have a number of aircraft on static display including fabulous Hawker Fury and Hurricane restorations from the Cambridge Bomber and Fighter Society.

On the road, More than 300 classic, vintage and ex-military vehicles from the earliest days of the internal combustion engine, showing off the amazing variety of engineering and design skill that has gone into getting us from A to B over the last century or so.

On the ground the Fun fair, over 70 trade stands and a craft fair selling children’s knitwear, pottery, jewellery and brooches, tapestry, painted gifts, cards, hand-made toys, quilt & needle-work, liquorice and sweets, plants, etc. Live music from our local band “junkyard preachers” Watch out for the arrival (approx 12:30) of a pair of enormous steam-powered traction engines owned by Mr Davenport.

Other ground exhibits, vintage tractors, stationary engines, scale model aircraft, glider, F1 aircraft racer.

Refreshments, a Licensed bar, fish and chips, coffee, ice cream, BBQ, burgers, hog roast, sweets, donuts… you won’t go hungry or thirsty at Little Gransden!
